Cusotm volan fins foiled on a saturday afternoon, a shrunk down version of the single fin I've been riding on my hulls for the past month or so...super fun, lots of release and twang!
Mr.Jake's second board of two (see kneeboard below). A sublime, sea-monsterish green opaque over a 5'10 frame of foam. With the contours of a tri-plane along the length of the bottom and a gentle roll on the deck...Complimented with rails that will release when you put the power down on a cutback, as well as hold in high and tight in trim, and some tasty mini glassons, hand foiled by yours truly out of aircraft grade plywood.
Four very very nice boards coming up this week, here is the first; one of Maryland resident Jake A's two new sleds.
A 5'0 Kneeboard with a big 'ol flex panel for the tail...I shape these not as an equal to the full glass spoons, but as an intro into a new world of alternative riding techniques and a portal to new visions...Good stepping stone on your way to a full spoon, also...Just a suggestion :)
Rediscovered this pic while hanging out with Morgan, collecting photos for a project, Tyler in Oz with She Hull, I'm in love with this shot...so perfect...style, power, flow, and my shape throwing buckets...cool :)
Another flex spooner completed...Morgan was kind enough to come by whilst running errands to snap a couple photos of it for me as yet again, I am camera-less.
This is the first time I've polished a spoon, and while I don't quite like it for water friction reasons, its really pretty hard to beat looks-wise...
