While I was at the Wavegliders factory in Portugal, I built one spoon and tried my best to pass on some knowledge of the craft to Nico and Carlos...They did the finish work on it after I left and delivered it to her owner, Miguel; who just sent me this photo...whoooaoaoa!

Stage III in Moving Pictures

Took some time to throw together a bit of a short on Stage III, a spoon, my daily driver (6'7 fish/hull thing) and some of my friends...hope you enjoy it...It was a blast to film and put together!

Light My Fire

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall kinds of mischief this week...shaped some TransitionHulls like the one below...and SoloMan got nutty with some colors for you guys:

Shaped a couple Stage III's with regular foam/resins, just with a hefty flex tail that'll be filled with EVA foam...

The shaping bay turned into a PC candy shop for a few days:

and then things got even more fun........

Oh the beauty of hand shaping and working closely with your boards...super glad I haven't gone down the machine path like so many, because.......

It's a good week for surfboards.

The Big Day

Hulls and Size

Nick has been pushing his blade and his fishy into some real waves for quite a little while now, pretty dang proud of the guy, he's got a lot of cojones for some of the shit he pulls off on 'em.

Brandon and Nick work quite a bit together and turn out some of my favorite pics of my hulls in motion.

PC's Third Stage on Korduroy!

Guess what time it is everyone?

MOVIE TIME! f*ck YEAH!

Been slaving away all week on thise 6 minute chunk of stuff, and Cyrus Sutton was kind enough to post it up with a little interview on Korduroy.tv.

There's lots of surfing going on in it, even some footage of Nick riding the Flex Spoon that I made for Jonny.

The video has Connor Lyon, Ross Bushnell, Kyle Albers, Nick Cook and Pete Surprenant, all shredding away on some of my boards over the past week of waves...lots of 4:30am departure times went into this and I think it payed off.

What I think payed off even more was the time I put into Stage III, the thing goes OFF. So much natural speed its ridiculous, I'm sussing out a new fin for it, you can see it slide a little and send Nick into the shallows later on into the video...gotta fix that :)

Aside from that though, Ross was stylin' on it and taking it to warp 10 around 2:02, and Connor getting some spring in his step around 1:40. Also keep a very close eye on how it loads up through the second session, being in a more tense wave put a lot of strain on the board and made it visibly warp which made me a very happy camper!
