While We're...

...At it, here's Kew's new 5'3 t.rev, also heading for a remote corner of the India Ocean in the next handful of days...Good luck campers, may the tube god's be with you...

(Tank the cat, shortly after sniffing and deeming worthy, pissed all over the tail of the board, claiming it for his own. We were humbled and I was beyond honored. Thanks Tank.)

the ThrougHull

100% hand shaped, laminated, hotcoated, finboxed, sanded and polished by RL for Trevor Gordon and his upcoming trip to the Indian Ocean:

This one's 6'7"; A widepoint-centered hull with pinched rails, some forgiving [fatter] tail foil-age and a continuous, mellow rocker. She's shaped and built for controlled, ultra-trimmed-out-tube-riding and warping gaffs in crystal blue water at a rather special little [or not, we hope] wave somewhere in the Indian Ocean as well as having full capabilities here and around Southern California's fine reef and beachbreaks this summer.

Purpose built and 100% custom for a close friend. Couldn't be better.

Iterations of Splinter Nations

A little test/sample of the live footage shown during Tycho's live shows via Beamer at iso50:

t.Rev's Down Unda'

Two of the pile of boards I shaped in Byron Bay a few weeks back; 2 + 1 t.Rev's.
One severely foiled out (think shortboard-esque foil), the other foiled like the orig. t.Rev (thicker tail/nose)

Over @ Six Ounce Board Store in Manly, NSW.

and a bonus...Trevor on the Fush (higher perf. foiled out/triplane twin fish) in the new Surfer Magazine via the ever vigilant Morgo Maassen :

Pureness in the Imperfection

Jair Bortoleto kills it.

Based in Brazil, we've never met.
But. We seem to be having a lot of very interesting conversations lately by way of this magical intrn3t. His work is inspiring and close to the hearts of many of the people that find themselves progressing what we all do visually today.
Do yourself a favor and follow what he does, unassuming and simple; his work is deep and more than impressive.

Type his name in google and you'll find him smattered all over the most respected alternative-surf culture interview and portfolio sites:

There are people all over the world who are pushing their local communities and respective surf-cultures to more interesting things than what the magazines are showing us. Jair quicky falls into this category.

his blog is linked in my sidebar-thingy, so keep your eye on it, there's lots of goodness ---->
