Railage

5'3 - Rigel Quad

Templated with the idea of a velo-sim tail end, with a bit more pulled in nose, the whole shape is basically sexed up and more streamlined.

The bottom is a blend of belly, triplane, double concaves and a wide spiral vee between the fins, adding a little life to the bottom shape of the twin versions.

This is a bottom shape that I use on my personal hullish-but-not-full-hulls, and it's got me convinced you can have the best of both (if not all three) worlds.

August's Dealio - the Velosim

Once again...a board of the month for anyone interested!

Figure i'd choose the velosim for this month since i've been getting a lot of questions and a whole lot of good feedback lately from them.

Sized between 4'11 and 6' (for the big boys), they're full of volume and curves...I use a lighter belly/hull in the nose with a more relaxed rocker, and transition to a tri-plane bottom w/a single concave from between the feet through the tail.  My template is a wee bit curvier in the tail end as well, taking a little bit of the blockiness out of the back end.

$500 w/marine ply glassons, $470 with lokboxes for the month of august, turnaround is aboot 6 weeks at the moment...shoot me an email and we'll get sizing nailed down :)

New Shape

This shape (6'9" x 22" x 2 3/4") was originally custom shaped for Keith Novosel for a trip to Oz, I've been calling it the Dreadnought:

It's a sub 7' hull, with a bit rounder rail line/template than the hullibut, but sharing many of the same general curves, just a little more "sensual".

Still painstakingly foiled out over the whole of the board.

Very flat rocker, but keeping an even curve for flow...this design is shaped with more active hull surfing in mind without lacking any of the ridiculous speed we've gotten out of the 7'ers.
