T.Rev Gordon

Trevor f*ing rips, I love watching him surf...and he's got that red 5'3 that we shaped down pretty good these days.  He's been riding Dead Sled and Vampire hull quite a bit recently, so now its time for the hullibut:

Mr.Hullibut is a modified and refined she hull; same front end template, with a modified rocker, belly and what is most likely my favorite tail template ever...I'm beyond excited to see him ride it...insert hull, here:

Mwahahahaaaaaaaaaaa!

photos once more, from the magnificent Morgan.

O.D.

Albers overloaded on useless information whilst teaching the youth of America and decided to rinse his brain out w/his vampire machine on this fun south that's pulsing through @ the 'bu.

WHY ALL THE VIOLENCE?!!?!?

Must we continue along this path?  my head?  Halona's ribs?  now LIGHTNERS PINKY!  all in two weeks!

At least we're getting into the smaller extremedies and parts of the body...watch your arm hairs, whoevers next...insert "small body-parts....ha.  haaaaaa." joke that I can't think of right now, here _____________________.

Left to right; 7'1" x 22 3/4" x 2 3/4" (Othello) , 7'2 x 22 7/8" x 3" (She Hull), 7'0" x 22 3/4" x 2 3/4" (She hull).

Hotcoats on a very hot day, and just our luck, two of the three boards I'm currently glassing are black...patience is my cruel mistress, and so are black boards in direct sunlight...?

Anyways...see if you can spot your board...the #13 done in red resin should be a dead giveaway for one of you!

Back

After 2 weeks out of the water (thanks to a rock), I got back to it yesterday at everyones favorite Queen of the coast.  It had to have been one of the most beautiful sunday's all year...great waves, friends, and mexican food on the beach; my face is sun burnt and my dog humped himself silly.

I'm busy as ever in the glass shop at the moment, a couple very very nice sleds going through the paces; photos tomorrow...

The Hem of Your Garment

Hand on Lightner's new board; Greatful Dead theme continued, as always with Kyle.
Handprint done in the glass; this was very. very. very fun to do.

Step Into My Office

Halona was nice enough to take out my stitches today while looking over his new fishy before glassing...now we just need some waves so I can get back in the water!

Thanks Halona!!!

Posers

Rogress

Jon's 8'+ stubby project, brownish-y tint done with Silmar 'eco' resin which I've switched to as opposed to the normal 249a that I was using previously.

I've been teaching Albers how to glass for the past few weeks as well and his squeegee handling is promising, he laminated the 6'10 pintail a few posts below...not too shabby, eh??

I've had a few questions on my glassing schedule lately, so here is my standard layup for the hulls:
6oz warp bottom w/fin patch, 6oz warp deck (nose to tail) w/8oz volan (center/knee patch), all done with the Eco resin, over Ice9 foam proves to be quite a nice weight and a killer balance in weight and flex.
Have a great day everybody!

SCRSHTSx2

Two 7' Hulls being put to good use at Malibu.

I have a shaping room stacked to the ceiling with blanks, and a glass shop with open racks...

I'm ready for a foam covered week before my head wound allows be back into the water.
New revelation in events from that incident; from what RT says, I went forwards, and the board went backwards, leading us to believe that it was a rock that my head found, and NOT my beloved 11'er.

Either way, there is much foam to be mowed this week, and a hefty amount of resin to bathe in shortly thereafter......

Heavier Gnar

Lightgnar shot a few photos just before the raffle the other night, here is one he sent me yesterday that I really really like...6'10 pintail for very very slow, mushy waves...right?
