i never saw the point in having a nose any bigger than 18" especially for up where you are; when you really want to dig in and utilize some of that point break speed.
i love black boards.especially when they are sand finish only
3" thick, i dont like logs over that really... 3" is more than enough for a longboard that's nor supposed to be a tank, for d-fins and others over 3 is good, but not really for more contemporary shapes IMO.

What's the thickness of the log?
